Le
Moulin de la Materette is a substantially built old mill converted to a very
high standard. It has seven double rooms each with private facilities, a well
equipped new kitchen and vast living room. The mill is set into five acres
of beautiful garden and woodland, four hundred metres of trout stream; a haven
of wildlife and tranquility. You can enjoy the natural surroundings to relax
by the beautiful large pool (13m x 6m) with stone flagged surround. Beyond
the pool is a Badminton court and pool side bar with its pergola and flagged
surround to give you a semi-shaded area to enjoy a drink at lunchtime. In
front of the mill is a large tiled open conservatory ideal for eating or relaxing,
shaded in the heat of the day, but in sunshine for mornings and evenings.
In front of the terrace you can enjoy the croquet lawn and boules pitch.
There are a good choice of restaurants close by. Also, there are always one
hundred plus bottles of chateau wine held in stock at modest cost.
Set
midway between Foix and St. Girons, in arguably the most beautiful part of
France. The location enjoys the benefits of beauty, history and amazing facilities.
Nearby are a pony trekking centre, a championship golf course, lake swimming
and various Cathar castles, amidst the spectacular Pyrenees mountain range.
The Moulin de la Materette is an ideal place to enjoy a relaxing holiday and to enjoy a host of activities.

Wedding Parties
The Moulin and Grange are available for wedding parties, we can accommodate
23 guests in the Moulin & Grange, we have friends in a chateau nearby
that
accommodates 18 and a hotel that accommodates 30.
We can cater for a wedding meal for 46 on a long table on the Terrace
overlooking the croquet lawn. We can provide all the cutlery, crockery, glasses
and
linen required plus a full staff to cook, serve and clear up. The price of
the
meal would be half what it would be in the UK.
